State University of New York at Buffalo. Department of Library and Information Studies (2006-present)

During the fall semester of 1999, the School of Information and Library Studies merged with the Department of Communication to form the School of Information Studies. Then in 2001 the School of Information Studies changed its name to the School of Informatics (RG 50). In 2006 the school was reorganized administrable. The Department of Communication went to the College of Arts and Sciences. The Department of Library and Information Studies went to the School of Education.

UB Art Galleries is used as the overarching name for two separate entities: UB Art Gallery (located in the Center for Arts on the North Campus) and the UB Anderson Gallery (located near the South Campus on Martha Jackson Place).
