What is Delivery+?
Delivery+ is the free document delivery service the University at Buffalo Libraries use to provide library materials to faculty, staff and students.
Use Delivery+ to request materials at any UB library or from libraries anywhere in the world.
Faculty and Staff can have materials delivered directly to their official UB address
Articles and chapters are delivered electronically via your Delivery+ account
Who can use Delivery+?
All UB Faculty, Staff and Students on any campus including the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and the UB-affiliated Teaching Hospitals
How do I use Delivery+?
You should use the Libraries Catalog to locate materials of interest. In the holdings tab at the bottom where the call number is displayed, click on Delivery+ Book Request. Type in your UBIT Name and Password. You will be prompted to choose a pickup location. You will receive an email when you item is ready for pickup. Ask for your requested material at the Circulation Desk. Materials will be held at the Circulation Desk for pickup for one week.
How much does it cost?
The University Libraries do not charge faculty, staff and students for this service.
Is everything that the Libraries own available through Delivery+?
You may request any item in the Libraries Catalog that has a Delivery+ Book Request link. You may not request the following types of materials: audiovisual materials, items classified as Reference, items located in the Reserve Collection and items located in the Special Collections Room.
What if the material is not owned or unavailable?
Login to your Delivery+ account and submit a request. The material will be requested via interlibrary loan from other libraries for you.
How long will it take to get items I have requested?
Books - 2-3 day turnaround for books available on a UB Library shelf (excluding weekends and holidays).
Items unavailable at UB will be purchased or borrowed from another library for you. Items are usually received within 10 days.
Journal articles or book chapters - 24 hour turnaround for articles owned by UB (excluding weekends and holidays).
Items unavailable at UB are usually received within 10 days, sometimes within 24 hours.
Can I request that library materials be sent to my dorm?
Students can pick up materials at any UB campus library. We are unable to send materials to student dorm addresses.
Students can return materials to any University at Buffalo library.
Can I request that library materials be sent to my office?
Faculty/staff may have materials delivered to their official campus address. Delivery to Depart is an option when choosing a pickup location for an item requested from the catalog. It is also an option in your Delivery+ User Information.
Faculty/staff may return materials, including DVDs and CDs, to the University Libraries via Campus Mail. Please make sure materials are wrapped or in an intra-campus mailer and clearly addressed to:Access Services – Circulation

Why do I need a username and password to use Delivery+?
Your username and password provides secure access to information about your document delivery and interlibrary loan requests as well as the personal information stored in your use profile.
Your Delivery+ username and password must be the same as your UBITName. Delivery+ will encrypt your password so it will remain secure. Only you will know your password.
If I am submitting requests for a professor, how should I register?Please contact the Delivery+ office at 716 645-2812, and they will help you set up a proxy account.
