Streaming Audio and Video in the UB Libraries

Streaming audio and videos are now part of the UB Libraries collections. One of the easiest ways to find a title is to use a keyword search in the Catalog. Enter a subject term together with the words “streaming video”. For example:  nutrition “streaming video”

Once you select your title from the list of search results, there will be link at the bottom of the page to follow to start your video.  All streaming items will have “[electronic resource]” in the title.

Certain streaming titles are also embedded into the catalog record.  For these titles, the sound recording or video can be played directly from the catalog.  For titles with multiple chapters, you will have to click on the chapter links at the bottom to load that section of the item.  For example:

physical examination streaming video

anxiety disorders streaming audio

Currently there are more than 800 streaming titles available, with new ones added regularly. The Libraries are committed to increasing the number of online resources available to make teaching, studying and research easier for our students and faculty.
