The Dr. Homer T. Jackson Collection (Late 19th – early 20th Century)


Donated by Kenneth Felch, MD (UB Medical School, 1961), this collection contains items that belonged to Dr. Homer T. Jackson, an 1881 graduate of UB’s Medical School and Dr. Felch’s grandfather, who practiced medicine in the rural town of Verona, NY at the turn of the 19th century. Included in the collection are:

  • Handwritten notebooks containing notes from Dr. Jackson’s medical school classes, treatments for medical conditions, the preparation of medications and comments on articles from medical journals
  • Instruments used in Dr. Jackson’s practice
  • Photographs
  • Personal effects
