Gifts of Books and other Materials Acceptance Policy
The Health Sciences Library accepts gifts of books, journals, and non-print materials which enhance the library’s collection and support current instructional and research programs of the UB health sciences schools. Books published within the past five years and historical materials are especially welcome.
Material donated to the library becomes the property of the UB Libraries or UB Foundation and can be added to the collection or discarded, as deemed appropriate. Books not added to the collection may be sold to students, the proceeds of which are used to buy new materials for the Library.
Donors are required to fill out a Gift Acceptance Policy Form. All gifts will be acknowledged.
