Open Access ChemIDplus

Description

The ChemIDplus is a master chemical dictionary of over 367,000 substances cited in National Library of Medicine (NLM) databases, including all TOXNET databases. It is searchable by chemical name, Chemical Abstracts Service Registry Number, molecular formula, classification code, locator code, and structure.

Leads to basic information about a chemical including synonyms, structure, and a list of other databases and Internet resources containing information about the chemical.

Searching Tips: Substructure searching can be done via a Java applet or download of a free Chime browser plug-in. Records may contain a hyperlink to Internet databases, regulatory lists, and biomedical databases at the National Library of Medicine.
