Photocopying in the UB Libraries
Self-Service Photocopiers (As of August 2008, photocopiers no longer accept coins or bills.)
The University Libraries centrally maintain a bank of copiers. Copiers are available in all units of the University Libraries and make black & white copies on 8.5 x 11 inch paper. The cost is 10 cents per page. Payment must be made with a print/copy debit card.
Print/copy debit cards can be purchased for $1 at wall encoder stations located in the Architecture & Planning, Health Sciences, Law, Lockwood Memorial, and Undergraduate Libraries. The $1 payment includes a one-time $0.60 card charge and a $0.40 copy card credit. Wall encoder stations accept $1, $5, $10 or $20 bills, no credit cards.
Print/copy debit cards can be used indefinitely and encoded with additional monetary value in two ways: using the wall encoder stations or the actual copy machines. For more information, refer to the Print/Copy Debit Card webpage.
Note:
VendaCard brand photocopier debit cards no longer work in our copiers. See the Old VendaCard Exchanges page for further details.
Photocopying services are available in all University Libraries for students registered with the UB Office of Disability Services.
