Library Resources in support of the UB School of Nursing Distance Learning Program
Students in the Distance Learning Program of the School of Nursing are entitled to use UB resources and services for research and coursework by connecting to the UB Libraries website. For help with making the connection from off-campus, consult our guide Log-in Help - Remote Access to Library Resources. To take full advantage of the UB Libraries' Resources, you will need a UB IT name account. You can search databases and a host of resources remotely. Through Delivery+, we can deliver electronic copies of articles and book chapters, physical books and audiovisuals, and obtain items from other libraries. Additional information is available in the Online Learners Help Guide.
The best place to start your searching is with the Top Resources for Nursing.
Check our catalog for books, including electronic books, and journal subscriptions. A variety of online tutorials are also available.
You can request books, book chapters or journal articles through Delivery+. If the material is not available at UB, we will request it for you from another library. You will have to come to campus to pick up books, audiovisual materials, or microforms borrowed for you from another library, but journal articles will be made available to you electronically. Please access Delivery+, register the first time and fill out the appropriate request form. Please indicate on the electronic request form that you are in the Distance Learning Program. Your professor may have placed reserve readings for your courses online via the UB Libraries Electronic Course Reserve system.
