Multimedia Creation Lab

The all new Multimedia Creation Lab located in Room 105, Abbott Hall, inside the Health Sciences Library is now open to all UB Students. The Lab will provide you with multimedia equipment to create audio and video media that can be used to spice up your projects and presentation. The softwares available in the Lab will also allow you to create complete stand alone videos or audio files.


Multimedia items may be borrowed from the Health Sciences and Silverman Multimedia Collections for 10 days. Reserve items are for in-library and overnight use only. Details available on our Find & Borrow page.

Collaborative Study Spaces on Campus

North Campus
Lockwood Library 320, 420, 520 – Best to reserve these rooms ahead of time. Follow instructions on the linked page. Rooms include laptop connection for DVD and streaming video and wall screens.

Silverman Multimedia Center – DVD/VHS – 5 stations with 20” monitors in open area. Limit three users per station with headphones.

Informal Learning Spaces – Open area, first come-first served, laptop connection for DVD and streaming video, wall screen.

  • Baldy 1st floor lobby – 2 stations
  • Knox 1st and 2nd floor lobbies – 4 stations
  • NSM Complex 2nd floor lobby – 2 stations
  • O’Brian 2nd floor lobby – 1 station (enclosed)

South Campus
Health Sciences Library – 8 study rooms with white boards and laptop connections available on a first come-first served basis. Four of the rooms have TV and DVD+VHS combo units, please consult the Roombooking page for more information.
