*V.B.12.a.iii [V.B.12.c.]: Partial Duplicate Typescript of the "Oxen of the Sun" (14) Episode for The Little Review (1920) :

Material Description and Collation : The manuscript consists of 2 loose sheets of paper, which Spielberg described as "thin" typing paper, with some corrections and additions in Joyce's hand in black ink on all of the pages. Both sheets are single-spaced typewritten blue ribbon top (original) copies; the versos are blank. The sheets were backed with protective paper and encapsulated after May 1988.

Measurements : The sheets measure approximately 28.0 x 21.5–22.5 cm.

Pagination : The sheets are paginated "18" and "20" in the lower left margin in pencil.

Contents : The manuscript is another partial duplicate top copy of what were at least 4 complete typescripts (a top copy and 3 bottom copies) of the "Oxen of the Sun" episode, of which 3 other partial copies survives (Buffalo MS V.B.12.a.i, 12.a.ii and a copy at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee). This copy of the typescript contains only those additions, corrections and revisions Joyce made for The Little Review publication in 1920 and these emendations also appear on the other copies of the typescript. The text on the pages is as follows:

Dating : The typescript was prepared in June 1920 in Trieste and revised by Joyce for The Little Review in black ink .

Publication : This manuscript has been reproduced in black and white photo-facsimile on JJA 14.167–168.
