*V.B.13.h.2

*V.B.13.h.2: Partial Second Part of the Printers' Copy of the Typescript (with First and Second Overlay) of the "Messianic Scene" of the "Circe" episode for Ulysses :

Material Description and Collation : The manuscript consists of 9 sheets of thin typing paper, watermarked "LINEN PAPER | LAFUMA BERTHOLET & NAVARRE | VOIRON". All of the pages are double-spaced typewritten purple ribbon top (original) copies; all the versos are blank. There are corrections and additions in Joyce's hand in black ink on pp. [1]–[6], [10], [11] and [12].

Measurements : The sheets measure approximately 27.0 x 21.0 cm.

Pagination : The sheets were paginated "1"–"6", "10", "11" and "12" in the upper right corner by the typist; the page numbers are not stamped on this part of the typescript .

Contents : The manuscript is a late addition (the so-called "Messianic Scene") for the typescript of the "Circe" episode, of which 2 other complete copies survive (Buffalo MS V.B.13.i), though Joyce only revised this copy of the typescript. This part of the typescript was prepared from MS V.A.20. The text on the pages is as follows:
