*VI.I.7.a [Also X.C.144 (X.C.138)]: "Work in Progress"/Finnegans Wake Emendations and Errata: Emendations for the Galley Proofs for transition 4/Finnegans Wake I.4 (1927):
Material Description, Collation and: The manuscript is a loose sheet of Hôtel Krasnapolsky, Amsterdam,stationery. Joyce wrote on the recto and verso in black ink and further revised the emendation in lead pencil.
Measurements: The manuscript measures 25.8 x 21.6 cm.
Contents: The manuscript is a letter to Beach in which he instructs her to have the editor emend the galley proofs of transition 4 (July 1927); neither of the emendations as directed here was made on transition 4 or any subsequent version of the texts. See transition 4, 57.17 and 58.34 as well as FW 091.29–30 and 093.19–20.
