*VI.I.8 [Also X.C.145 (X.C.139)]: "Work in Progress"/Finnegans Wake Emendations and Errata: Emendation for the Galley Proofs for transition 4/Finnegans Wake I.4 (1927):
Material Description and Collation: The manuscript is a picture postcard of Amsterdam, with an emendation on the verso in Joyce's hand in black ink.
Measurements: The manuscript measures 9.0 x 14.0 cm.
Contents: The manuscript is a letter to Beach in which Joyce instructs her to have the editor emend the proofs of transition 4 (July 1927); the emendation was not made as directed here on transition 4 or on any subsequent version of the texts. See transition 4, 58.30–31 as well as FW 093.16.
