*VI.F.7: "Work in Progress"/Finnegans Wake Typescripts: Typed Copy of an Insertion for the Second Proofs for transition 15/Finnegans Wake III.3§3 (1929):
Material Description and Collation: The manuscript consists of a loose sheet of unlined, off-white typing paper. It is a double-spaced typewritten bottom (carbon) purple ink copy, with no corrections; the verso is blank.
Measurements: The manuscript measures 26.9 x 20.6 cm.
Contents: The manuscript is typescript copy of the holograph manuscript (Buffalo MS VI.E.7) of an addition for transition 15 (February 1929). See transition 15, 230.14–37 as well as FW 530.36–531.25.
JJA Draft Code: III.3§3A.9+.
Dating: The manuscript was probably typed in late January 1929 (the proofs are dated 23 and 25 January 1929), presumably the top copy of this manuscript was sent to the printers of transition, though it is not known to be extant.
Other Markings: The typescript was headed "B" (or possibly "D") by the typist; this was crossed through in black ink and replaced with the tag "B", presumably in Joyce's hand, also black ink. The copy of the transition proof where the insert belongs (BL MS 47484b, f. 329; JJA 59.035) is similarly tagged.
Publication: This typescript has not been reproduced.
Notes: This typescript was prepared from Buffalo MS VI.E.7.
