Material Description and Collation: The manuscript consists of 9 sheets (36 leaves: 67 printed and 5 blank pages: the reverse of the title-leaf, the reverse of the printer’s imprint & copyright page and pp. [70]–[72]) of pulp paper, folded in quarto, printed on both sides in black ink; the pages are machine trimmed on all sides. There are no corrections or revisions.
Measurements: The sheets measure 56.0 x 38.0 cm.
Pagination: There are printed page numbers "7"–"70" in the center of bottom margin and "3" on the title page, "71, 73 and 74" on pp. [69], [71], and [72], all in the center of the bottom margin in pencil, probably by the printer.
Contents: The manuscript is an unmarked copy of the first setting of proofs of the Haveth Childers Everywhere (Paris and New York: Henry Babou & Jake Kahane and The Fountain Press, 1930; Slocum and Cahoon A41). Also see FW 532.06–554.
JJA Draft Code: III.3B.15'.
Dating: The manuscript is undated but was set in May 1930.
Other Markings: Included with the manuscript is a sheet of pulp paper that was folded vertically in half to form a folder. On p. [1] of the folder, written in blue ink in an unidentified hand: "HCE proofs". On p. [3] of the folder, the printer most likely wrote a computation in lead pencil of the page numbers: "74 [+] 2 [+] 4 [=] 80"; also in lead pencil on p. [71], presumably written by the printer: "Justification | et achevé [illegible word] d'impremier".
