The Duncan Dialogue

Four pieces made for Robert Duncan Conference were on display by UB artist Harvey Breverman.

As Bob Bertholf said the other day "...the Dunc gets to you, doesn't he..." Indeed, he has since 1979 when I attended his reading and first drew him.

On the occasion of this conference I created a series of modest "disjunctive composites" as pendants to Duncan's and Jess' grand collages. The circumstance demanded a different take; the process used differed from my usual mode of representation.

Harvey Breverman, April 1996
