Jewish Buffalo Archives Project

Donate to the Jewish Buffalo Archives Project

Help us document the last 170 years of Jewish history in Buffalo and Western New York by either gifting your personal and organizational archival materials, recording an oral history, or by simply donating to the project.

Your participation will help save and preserve the history of our Jewish communities so future generations will be able to learn and grow from the legacy left by the previous.

By gifting your papers...

JBAP seeks donations of materials from current and closed organizations and institutions including:

  • synagogues
  • community based schools
  • community welfare and related agencies
  • Jewish cultural and social groups
  • Jewish businesses
  • individual and family papers

By recording an oral history...

Telling your own story provides a first-hand experience for future generations to remember the previous ways of the Jewish community and family life. Let others learn about how our community in all its diversities, has changed and evolved. These collections will preserved along with the papers and records collected by JBAP.
