Esther Harriott

Esther Swartz Harriot was assistant for cultural affairs to the dean of the University at Buffalo's Faculty of Arts and Letters and later became the assistant for cultural affairs for the president of UB.  Through her efforts, a wide variety of diverse artists visited the university, including the Dance Theatre of Harlem (1971), the Whirling Dervishes of Konya, Turkey (1975) and a Chinese Cultural Festival (1980).  Harriot left the university in 1983.
