Ronald P. Rubin was born in Newark New Jersey on January 4, 1933. He received his A.B. in Biochemistry (1954) and an A.M. T. in Science Education (1958) from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (1963). He became professor and chair of the University at Buffalo Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics in 1989.
