Did you know that the first three Physician Assistants graduated from Duke University’s educational program in 1967? Physician Assistants are partners in health care who collaborate with other medical professionals and patients to provide outstanding medical care. Commonly known as PAs, they practice medicine as part of a team, licensed to diagnose, treat, and care for patients under a physician’s supervision. Physician Assistants: Collaboration and Care describes how the profession developed as a solution to meet the social and health care needs of the mid-20th century and continues to evolve today.

HSL is hosting the 6 panel travelling exhibit until April 27. Also visit the online portion of Physician Assistants: Collaboration and Care which offers educational resources as well.
