The University at Buffalo Libraries is pleased to announce the appointment of Jake Carlson as the Associate University Librarian for Research, Collections and Outreach, effective August 7, 2023.
Jake comes to us from the University of Michigan, where he has served as the Director of Deep Blue Repository and Research Data Services since 2018.
As the Associate University Librarian for Research, Collections and Outreach, Jake will be responsible for support of instruction services and innovative pedagogy, liaison and outreach services, and collection management.
Carlson received his Masters of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and earned a Masters of Arts in East Asian Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. His University at Buffalo email address is jakecarl@buffalo.edu.
