The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) recently announced that Erin Rowley, Engineering Librarian and Head of Science and Engineering Library Services for the University at Buffalo Libraries, has been elected the Secretary/Treasurer for the Engineering Libraries Division (ELD) of ASEE. Following her service as Secretary/Treasurer, Rowley will serve as Program Chair (2025-2026), Division Chair (2026-2027) and Past Chair/Nominating Committee Chair (2027-2028).
Jake Carlson, Associate University Librarian for Research, Collections, and Outreach, remarked, “Winning this election demonstrates Erin’s strong national reputation in her field.”
The Engineering Libraries Division of ASEE consists of librarians and information professionals dedicated to supporting engineering education. They are actively engaged in providing library services and developing innovative approaches to networking information services. ELD plays a pivotal role within ASEE by advocating for the library’s role in engineering education and serves as a platform for engineers who recognize that access to information is fundamental to engineering education.
