Observed on the third Wednesday of every October, Global Ethics Day offers an opportunity to raise awareness about ethics in an increasingly interconnected world. This year’s theme, “Ethics Empowered,” emphasizes that maintaining academic integrity is a shared responsibility among all members of the educational community, from faculty and staff to undergraduate and graduate students.
In recognition of Global Ethics Day on Oct. 16, 2024, UB Libraries and the UB Office of Academic Integrity have curated an array of titles in the online Collection Spotlight, “Global Ethics and Academic Integrity,” that illustrate how ethics can enrich our lives, strengthen communities, and help build a better world with the fundamental values of honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility and courage.
Stop by our tables in the Student Union on Oct. 16 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and Lockwood Library from 12-4 p.m. to spin our wheel, play a game, get some academic integrity bling, eat some candy, and have your photo taken in our integrity frames!
UB Libraries are also presenting two workshops centered on the themes of academic integrity :
