New EBSCOhost User Interface Coming in June 2025

Monday, May 26th, 2025

Starting June 1, 2025, the UB Libraries will migrate to a new EBSCOhost user interface (UI), “redesigned to meet ever-evolving user expectations for accessing, searching, choosing, and using the library’s resources.” The EBSCO databases you use will feature upgrades, including:

  • Modern design: A clean, intuitive interface so you can find what you need even faster
  • Enhanced search capabilities: Get more precise results with advanced search filtering options
  • Personalized dashboards: Keep track of searches and saved articles, plus save articles to Google Drive or OneDrive
  • Improved translation features
  • Enhanced accessibility

Those who already have a personal EBSCO account can continue to use it. All links should update automatically, but if you find a bookmark no longer works after the migration, please go to the A-Z Database list and follow the link you wish to bookmark.

Save your Data

If you already have an EBSCO account, your search history, alerts, and projects in ‘My Folder’ should be automatically transferred, but we encourage you to export these if you want to be certain. Content in ‘My Custom’, and any search lines that aren’t used/combined in the final search line will not be copied over. More information on EBSCO Connect.

If you don’t already have an EBSCO account, you should create one and save your searches and articles to ensure that your saved items are there when you log in to the new interface.
