New Ebook Central Reader App Coming to UB

Starting Sept. 17, UB students, faculty and staff who download ebooks from Ebook Central will use the new Ebook Central Reader App. The free app offers a secure, accessible and modern reading experience, replacing Adobe Digital Editions for full-book downloads.

Available for both desktop and mobile, the app provides a consistent, user-friendly interface that supports 11 languages and includes features familiar to readers of other apps, such as Kindle or Libby. It also syncs your bookshelf across devices with a simple numeric code.

You’ll continue to use the Ebook Central platform to search, browse and read online, but downloaded books will now open in the new app.
