The University Libraries have temporarily paused international shipping for both Interlibrary Loan and the delivery of physical items to UB faculty, students, and staff residing outside the United States.
This decision follows the federal government’s termination of the de minimis tax exemption, which previously allowed low-value items to enter the U.S. duty-free, along with the lack of clear guidance on new duties.
We will continue to monitor federal guidance and global shipping conditions and will reassess these suspensions as new information emerges.
UB faculty, students and staff abroad who need access to materials are encouraged to contact libdelivery@buffalo.edu to discuss possible alternatives to support their research and teaching needs.
