Silverman Library Welcome Desk Expands Hours and Services

This semester, the Silverman Library Welcome Desk on the second floor will pilot expanded services and extended hours. The desk will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to midnight.

In addition to lending all multimedia equipment previously available in Capen 229, the Welcome Desk will now serve as the first point of contact for visitors to Silverman Library. Services include:

• Delivery services support
• Equipment lending
• Wayfinding and general assistance
• Guidance on library policies
• Help with user library accounts

This pilot program replaces the desk’s previous 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule with longer hours and a broader range of services to support the UB community.
