Silverman Library to Temporarily Close for HVAC Improvements

Silverman Library will return to normal summer hours on Monday, Aug. 10, following HVAC improvements.

Silverman Library will be temporarily closed from June 29 through August 9, 2026, to allow for a major HVAC replacement project in Capen Hall.

During the closure:

  • Lockwood Memorial Library will offer expanded operating hours.
  • Equipment Loans will relocate to Lockwood Library and will be available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • The UB Tech Squad/UBIT Help Center Desk will temporarily relocate to 223 Lockwood Library.

Silverman Library is expected to reopen on August 10, 2026, in advance of the fall semester.
