Silverman Library to Temporarily Close for HVAC Improvements

Silverman Library will be temporarily closed from June 29 through August 17, 2026, to allow for a major HVAC replacement project in Capen Hall.

During the closure:

  • Lockwood Memorial Library will offer expanded operating hours.
  • Equipment Loans will relocate to Lockwood Library and will be available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • The UB Tech Squad/UBIT Help Center Desk will temporarily relocate to 223 Lockwood Library.

Silverman Library is expected to reopen on August 17, 2026, in advance of the fall semester.
