Responsibilities

Provide leadership, vision, and advocacy for the University Libraries (UL) to meet the changing information needs of UB faculty and students whose teaching, learning and research is conducted in a digital environment. Articulate and implement goals and strategies to meet stakeholders’ needs in support of the University’s mission. Provide leadership and vision to leverage digital technology, deliver innovative services and spaces, and facilitate partnerships and interdisciplinary collaborations. Oversee seven campus library facilities across three campuses plus provide library services for our Singapore campus. Lead and further develop a strong, service-oriented workforce consisting of 47 tenure-track faculty, 78 professional staff, and 10 non-tenure track faculty that serve UB’s 12 schools and colleges; administer an annual budget of $20M+. Leverage and grow the UL’s resources by cultivating advancement opportunities and grant awards. Cultivate a culture of diversity and inclusion within the UL.
