Responsibilities

  • Assist faculty, staff and students with copyright information requests, providing individualized support for faculty in the publishing cycle, faculty engaged in instruction, web communications teams and students working on theses and dissertations.
  • Administer the UB Institutional Repository (UBIR) on the open source DSpace platform.
  • Ensure copyright and publisher sharing policy compliance in UBIR.
  • Collaborate with The Graduate School to host UB’s electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs) on UBIR as part of that unit’s new open access policy for ETDs, effective with the June 1, 2018, degree conferral date.
  • Regularly present copyright workshops for faculty, staff and students.
