Loan Periods

Loan periods vary and are determined by library location, material type and borrower status.

Generally Circulating and Audio/Visual Materials

  • 16 Weeks: all active UB faculty, staff, and students
  • 16 Weeks: walk-in borrowers affiliated with a SUNY institution
  • 30 Days: University Libraries Courtesy and Guest Borrowers

Loanable Equipment

  • 7 Days for active UB faculty, staff and students only

Short-Term Loans

  • 4-hour limit

  • 4 hours in-library-use
  • 4 hours overnight
  • 24 hours
