Throughout February the University Libraries will celebrate Black History Month with a focus on films, books, e-books, research guides and more that recognize the rich cultural heritage, achievements and adversities of African Americans.
BOOKS
- Black History Month Collection Spotlight, a curated, thematic selection of books, available both physically and online in the UB Libraries catalog.
- Black History Month Book Display, located in the lobby of Lockwood Library, features a selection of fiction and non-fiction titles celebrating the achievements and significant impact African Americans have had on our country and culture.
FILMS
Kanopy Streaming Service has curated a selection of movies and documentaries highlighting Black Americans’ history and heritage in celebration of Black History Month. These films are available to stream on Kanopy using your UB account.
RESEARCH GUIDES
