Established in 1996, HGMD is updated quarterly. An average of 15,000 new mutation entries from the published literature have been added each year for the past six years.
The Convention attracted local practicing dentists, dental hygienists and dental hygiene students, dental assistants and other office staff as well as faculty, staff and students from the School of Dental Medicine.

Therapy dogs return to Abbott Library for monthly visits during the spring 2026 semester. The visits are designed to give students, faculty and staff a chance to take a break, reduce stress and enjoy the company of friendly dogs.
