Peter Ekeh
Death: 2020Peter Ekeh was an internationally renowned professor of African American Studies at the University at Buffalo. In 1975, he wrote "Colonialism and the Two Publics in Africa" one of the most cited academic articles on the politics and sociology of Africa. He began his career at UB in 1989 and served as the chair of the Department of African American Studies from 1993-2001. He retired from the university in 2014.
