Edmond J. Gicewicz

Edmond J. Gicewicz, born July 28, 1928 in Buffalo, was a UB alumnus and benefactor of UB athletics. He also was president of the UB Medical Alumni Association as well as founder and first medical director of the University Sports Medicine Institute. Gicewicz won the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1977, the Samuel P. Capen Chancellor's Award in 1978, and the UB president's Medal in 2013. Gicewicz died on March 28, 2018 at the age of 89.
