Teresa A. Miller

Death: 2021

Teresa Miller was a professor in the UB Law School from 1995-2014, specializing in immigration law, criminal procedure and prisoner law. She received a B.A in Educational Psychology from Duke University (1982), a JD from Harvard Law School (1986) and LL.M. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison (1989). In 2014, after being named UB's first Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence, Miller spearheaded the university's first strategic diversity and inclusion plan. In 2016, she established the Difficult Conversations (DIFCON) Series to foster conversations about difference and increase university-wide cultural competence.  In 2018 became the SUNY Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Staff to SUNY Chancellor Kristina Johnson.  In this position, Miller worked to increase diversity and inclusion throughout the entire SUNY system.
