Anthony Joseph Rozak

Anthony J. Rozak, Jr. was born in Buffalo in 1939.  He earned a B.F.A. in communications design (1969) from the University at Buffalo and an M.F.A. in graphic design (1971) from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  In 1971, Rozak joined the faculty of the UB Department of Art as an assistant professor.   He was promoted to associate professor in 1977.  From 1981-1982, Rozak served as the acting chair of the Department of Art and Art History and from 1986-1992, he was the chair of the Department of Art.  Rozak retired from UB in 2009 but continued to teach courses until 2014.  In 2020, he was named professor emeritus.
