Frederick Sachs

Frederick Sachs earned a B.A. in physics from the University of Rochester in 1962 and a Ph.D. in physiology from SUNY Upstate Medical Center in 1969.  He joined the faculty of the University at Buffalo's Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics in 1975.  In 1980, Sachs transferred to the UB Department of Biophysical Sciences where he was promoted to associate professor in 1984 and full professor in 1986.  In 1994, he became a professor in UB's Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences.  Sachs was named a UB Distinguished Professor in 2002 and a SUNY Distinguished Professor in 2007.
