Shaw Livermore

Shaw Livermore was born in Wellesley, Massachusetts in 1902. He received an A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1922, a M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1924 and a Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1939.

Dr. Livermore taught at the School of Business Administration at the University of Buffalo from 1928 to 1941. During part of this time, he served as Assistant Dean. After leaving the University of Buffalo, Dr. Livermore became the Director of Review of the War Production Board from 1941 to 1945, worked for the Marshall Plan in Paris, France from 1949-1951, was the Assistant Director for the National Security Council, was a member of the economic planning staff of the Rockefeller Brothers and in 1957 Dr. Livermore joined the University of Arizona as Dean of Business and Public Administration. Dr. Livermore became an Emeritus Professor at the University of Arizona in 1971.
