Henry J. Durand, Jr. Jr.

Henry Durand was born in Griffith, Georgia on June 14, 1948. He earned a bachelor's in sociology from Denison University; master's in education from Xavier University; and a Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati.

He came to the University at Buffalo in 1990 as Director of the Educational Opportunity Program. He also served as Senior Associate Vice Provost of Academic Affairs; Executive Director of the Cora P. Maloney College; and Clinical Professor in the Graduate School of Education.

Henry Durand died of leukemia on December 27, 2018 in Amherst, New York.
