Michael Detty

Michael R. Detty began his career at UB in 1995. He was a professor in the departments of Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry known for his dedication to students. In 2000, he was recognized for this dedication when he received the Milton Plesur Excellence in Teaching Award from the UB Student Association. Detty also received the Jacob F. Schoellkopf Medal from the local section of the American Chemical Society (2016) for his research in chemistry. He retired from UB in 2019.
