Edward J. Massaro

During his tenure as a professor of biochemistry at UB (1968-1978), Edward J. Massaro inspired many of his students to make their careers in science.  While at UB, his research focused on mercury pollution in fish.  After leaving UB, Massaro joined the Mason Research Institute and held a teaching position at Penn State.  He retired from the Environmental Protection Agency in 2014 where he was the recipient of the Science and Technological Achievement Award.  

Edward J. Massaro died on June 1, 2019 in Cary, North Carolina.
