Rosine G Van Oss

Rosine van Oss was a librarian for the University at Buffalo Libraries Central Technical Services.  Born in Strasbourg, France, van Oss emigrated to the United States in 1963.  In 1968, they moved to Buffalo, New York where her husband Carel was an associate professor of microbiology and head of the Immunochemistry Laboratory at UB.  van Oss earned a Master of Library Science, and a M.A. in French and Spanish as a Second Language from UB.  In her 60s, van Oss founded the French Translation Bureau, a company that she ran until aged 93.
