Alison Des Forges

Alison Des Forges was a Human Rights Watch senior advisor for nearly twenty years, specializing in the Rwandan genocide.  She earned her B.A. in European History from Radcliffe College (1964), and both her M.A. in African Studies (1966) and Ph.D. in African History (1972) from Yale University.
