Clear Browser Cache
When you browse through the internet and visit different sites, your browser saves several contents and data in temporary storage. This temporary storage is called "cache". If you would prefer not to clear your cache, users can try using an incognito/private browser window.
It may be useful to choose a different browser if you experience additional problems.
Chrome - Windows
- Press the keys [Shift], [Ctrl] and [Delete]. Be sure you press all the keys at once.
- A new window opens: Clear Browser cache.
- Submit your selection by clicking the Clear data button.
- Refresh your site.
Chrome - Mac
The easiest way to get rid of the cache data in Google Chrome (MAC) is the option Clear Browser cache. You can access this function with the following shortcut:
- Press the keys [Shift], [Command] and [Delete]. Be sure you press all the keys at once.
- A new window opens: Clear Browser cache.
- Submit your selection by clicking the Clear data button.
- Refresh your site.
Chrome - iOS
- At the bottom right, tap More (•••) then Settings.
- Tap Privacy.
- Tap Clear Browsing Data.
- Check Cookies, Site Data and Cached Images and Files. Uncheck the other items.
- Tap Clear Browsing Data.
- Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.
Safari - iOS
- Open your Settings app.
- Tap Safari.
- Tap Clear History and Website Data and confirm.
- Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.
Safari - Mac
- Click on Safari in the top left corner of the top bar.
- Click Preferences.
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Click Manage Website Data...
- Click Remove All.
- Click Remove Now.
- Quit Safari (don't just close it) and reopen for your changes to take place.
Firefox - Windows
For deleting the browser cache with a shortcut in Firefox please follow these steps:
- Press the keys [Shift], [Ctrl] and [Delete].
- A new window opens called "Clear Recent History".
- Submit your selection by clicking the Clear Now Button.
- Refresh your site.
Firefox - Mac
For deleting the browser cache with a shortcut in Firefox please follow these steps:
- Press the keys [Shift], [Command] and [Delete].
- A new window opens called Clear Recent History.
- Submit your selection by clicking the Clear Now Button.
- Refresh your site.
Internet Explorer 11
- Press the keys [Shift], [Ctrl] and [Delete]. Be sure you press all the keys at once.
- Deselect Preserve Favorites website data, and select:
- Temporary Internet files and website files.
- Cookies or Cookies and website data.
- Click Delete. You will see a confirmation at the bottom of the window when the process is complete.
- Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.
Microsoft Edge
- Press the keys [Shift], [Ctrl] and [Delete].
- Select Cookies abd saved website data and Cached data and files.
- Click Clear. You will see a confirmation at the bottom of the window when the process is complete.
- Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.
Android
- Go to Settings and choose Apps or Application Manager.
- Swipe to the All tab.
- In the list of installed apps, find and tap your web browser. Tap Clear Data and then Clear Cache.
- Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.
Chrome for Android
- Tap Chrome menu > Settings.
- Tap (Advanced) Privacy.
- From the "Time Range" drop-down menu, select All Time.
- Check Cookies and Site data and Cached Images and Files.
- Tap Clear data.
- Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.
