Material Description and Collation

The manuscript is a loose sheet of blue stationary, folded in half horizontally and used for 4 pages of notes, with writing on all pages in lead pencil in Joyce’s hand. There are no colored crayons markings on this manuscript.

Joyce compiled these notes for additions to the second setting of galley proofs of the 1928 Crosby Gaige edition of Anna Livia Plurabelle (JJA 40.xviii).

The manuscript measures 26.7 x 20.7 cm.

Dating

Joyce compiled these notes from May to late June 1928, contemporaneously with Finnegans Wake notebook MS VI.B.22 (TD 29).
