The UB Libraries’ Journey of Discovery Undergraduate Research Contest celebrates the unexpected twists and turns of student research. If you’ve completed a project that made meaningful use of library resources such as books, archives, spaces, or librarians, you could be recognized for your work. Submissions for the next contest open in January 2026, so start thinking about your journey now.

Each March, UB Libraries hosts March Swagness, a fun and interactive competition where students vote for their favorites to win library swag. Whether it’s a contest featuring swag items, study spaces or something new, one winner always comes out on top. Students can participate online or in person for a chance to win the featured prize.
