Support the Archives

Gifts from alumni and friends help ensure that the University Archives can continue to preserve and share the history of the University at Buffalo and the broader Western New York Community.

Your support sustains the acquisition, arrangement, preservation, digitization, and access to unique archival records, photographs, audio recordings. Donations are tax-deductible and directly strengthen the Archives’ role in research, teaching, and public service.

Each year, the University Archives supports student learning, scholarly publications, and visiting researchers. It serves as a resource for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and external scholars, while also hosting events that bring historical collections to life through presentations, exhibitions, and collaborative programming.

By supporting the University Archives Endowment Fund, your tax-deductible gift helps advance the Archives’ long-term sustainability and visibility. Contributions directly fund efforts such as:

  • Acquiring and processing archival collections
  • Engaging the community through outreach, exhibitions, and public programs
  • Preserving fragile, at-risk materials through conservation and climate-controlled storage
  • Digitizing materials to expand online access

Help ensure that the history of our region—and the people who shaped it—is preserved and made accessible for future generations.
