Diane Lynn Porter began working in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 2006. Within four years, she earned an Master of Education from the Graduate School of Education and was promoted from staff assistant to director of administration for the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. In 2019, Porter was promoted again when she became the assistant dean and unit business officer for the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. In 2024, she transferred to the Jacobs School of of Medicine where she served as director of recruitment and strategic engagement. Porter returned to the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 2025.
