1979 – 1987

The softball program at U.B. plays at the Division III level from 1979 to 1987. In 1983, Nan Harvey joins the Athletic Department coaching the team.

The softball program at U.B. plays at the club level.

1998

The University at Buffalo announces the reinstatement of its intercollegiate softball, one of six sports that are mandated by the newly joined Mid-American Conference.

1999

Marie Curran is announced as Buffalo’s first Division I softball head coach.

2000

The Bulls begin their first season of Division I competition.
